I have been studying abroad for the last two years. I have been informed that my sister has started a job in a private firm. When I return home after completing my study I meet my family members. I surprise to watch that my sister who is doing the job is failing in managing her work. She has no time to spend with us. She works in her office and then she carries work at home. I questioned her about her daily routine and it just revolves around her office and work. Some people thought that she is hardworking and working day and night. But in my opinion, she is failing in managing her office work. I survey the colony and realized that about 70 to 80 percent of people are failing in managing their work. You must have seen many people around you who are having the same issues. Maybe you are also facing such issues. The result of this is having no time for yourself and your loved ones. Some people also lose their job due to this reason. So in this article, I am going to tell you about five tips for effective management of tasks. Hope so these tips and tricks could help you in your task management. Let’s move on to these tips:

Make a list of tasks

The first step towards learning the task management skill is the use of a to-do list. Many people thought that they are smart enough to remember all the tasks. But in actual working on a task distracts your attention from other works. But when you have a list showing all the works you have an idea about them as well. As a result, you will try to finish each task on its time so you can finish the remaining task. A to-do list similar to a list containing items that you have to bring from the market. If you don’t put all the things on the list and try to keep them in your mind, you will definitely forget to buy at least one item from the market. The same happens when you work. If you don’t have a to-do list you will forget to spare time for some tasks and you fail to manage work in a given time. So make a to-do list before start working. The best is to prepare it a night before work. At the end of every day, you should have a list of works that you have to perform tomorrow.

Communication skills

Have you ever noticed that every job advertisement requires communication skills? Why does every job demand excellent communication skills? Its wrongly believed that communication is required only in the sales representative job. But in fact, it’s required in every field of life. Every person who can communicate properly could handle tasks properly. For example, if you are working on a task that is time taking you can use your communication skills to get dome assistance from your colleagues.

Don’t play blame games if you failed to complete a task either you are doing it separately or with a team. Communicate with your boss and try to solve out the reasons behind failure. Similarly, if you are heading a project, your communication with workers matters a lot in your success. So improve your communication skills to improve your task management.

Involvement with the project

The next step for better task management is your involvement with the task. If you are leading a team you should also involve in the task properly. As your workers try to follow you, so you should instruct them at the start and then work with them to finish the task more effectively. If you are completing a task single-handedly you should not think to just finish it off and dissociate from it. Take it as your personal task and put all your efforts to complete it.

Accept the results

The fourth tip to manage tasks is the acceptance of the results. For example, when you start working on a task all the drawbacks that could result should be kept in mind. Moreover, you should also clear it in your mind that sometimes productivity depends upon the nature of tasks. So accept the results and move towards the next task. Repeating the same task to improve productivity is a wastage of time.

Use of a task managing software/ App

If you are worried about how you can make track of all the tasks and keep their record you should use a dedicated software or app. Certain apps are available on android that can help you in managing your tasks. So simply use one of them.
